This insect trap is engineered for 3-way protection. First, a UV fluorescent bulb generates a warm light, attracting insects. Then a second lure, an exclusive Ti02 titanium dioxide-coated surface, produces CO2 (the same gas we emit when we exhale) that’s irresistible to mosquitoes. Third, a powerful, yet whisper-quiet vacuum fan sucks insects into the retaining cage where they dehydrate and die.

I really debated about whether to purchase a dynatrap or not because of the price and the area coverage we would need. In doing a little research I also learned that people have had luck with using a mosquito attractant inside the trap. This thing is AWESOME! We are on about an acre and a quarter surrounded by woods. This spring it was a nightmare going outside, no matter the time of day. Talk about getting attacked, there was a point I really feared I’d see one of the kids getting carried off by a swarm of mosquitoes. Lucky for them I bought the dynatrap and saved their lives. Seriously though, we saw improvement within days of having this thing out. The amount of mosquitoes and moths in the trap was absolutely unreal. We keep it hanging about 20 feet from the house. I’ve seen a few wasps in it but no bees. Our neighbors don’t have one and we’re nearly eaten alive when we go to their house. Not at our house though!

This trap has been catching a lot of mosquitos and moths. Leave it plugged in all the time and your trap starts filling. I personally love to reduce the mosquito population. I had an issue with my first one where the fan motor stopped working after 2 days. I called the company and once they confirmed that the light was on and the fan was off, they immediately shipped a new unit to me at no charge. My second unit is working perfectly for over a month now.

This really works! We put it up in our yard and have noticed a significant drop in the mosquito population. Last year, we couldn’t sit outside in the yard starting in May due to the mosquitos. But so far this year, I haven’t gotten a single bite. So glad we got this!
