This insect trap is engineered for 3-way protection. First, a UV fluorescent bulb generates a warm light, attracting insects. Then a second lure, an exclusive Ti02 titanium dioxide-coated surface, produces CO2 (the same gas we emit when we exhale) that’s irresistible to mosquitoes. Third, a powerful, yet whisper-quiet vacuum fan sucks insects into the retaining cage where they dehydrate and die.

I was very skeptical purchasing this trap since I originally wanted an electric zapper. My wife didn’t want to hear the buzzz of fried bugs by the pool so I thought we’d give the DynaTrap a try. We have a 3/4 acre lot next to a creek so mosquitos are everywhere. We rarely used the backyard due to being bitten up everytime we walked out. Within 2 days of installing the DynaTrap we noticed that we weren’t getting bit and we weren’t getting swarmed by other insects (moths, beatles, etc). The catch bin of the Dynatrap was about 1/2 full in just a few days which was amazing at the amount of bugs it caught. It’s now been 4 months since our purchase and it still is working perfect. I mounted it under our raised deck so the light is still centrally visible but slightly protected from the rain. They do mention to mount the Trap in an area that doesn’t have competing lights which is a helpful tip. Several neighbors have purchased the trap at our recommendation and have been equally pleased. Highly recommend if you want to enjoy your backyard again!

The people here talking down this trap either do let it run long enough, or are just ignorant. We have a house right on the lake, during the summer it gets infested with Mosquitos, and all types of bugs. If you run this properly and have a neighbor turn it on for a week before you arrive it does a great job of keeping your area pretty clear of bugs. If you live there full time, run it full time, its simple. We are having an extra bad year this year so I am actually buying another one right now so we can have twice the coverage. I have used it with attractant, and without attractant, and it works equally as well with no attractant. In a weeks time, it is about 1/2-3/4 full of bugs. This accounts for 10,000’s-100,000’s of bugs. It does exactly what it says it does and does so quietly. I actually prefer a large zapper as I love the sound, but the rest of the family hated the sound, we got these instead.

We live in Savannah, GA and we have a million no-see-ums and mosquitoes! Our home backs up to a protected wet lands – so some standing water. We just built a beautiful patio and I needed something to take care of the big bug problem. We plugged in the Dynatrap as soon as we got it and caught so many bugs the first night! We can sit in our backyard without a bite. This was the best thing ever -Thank you Dynatrap!!

Catches ALL kinds of flying insects, for better or for worse. Honestly, before we got this, we couldn’t even get from the car to the front door without several bites. Now, they are few and far between. There is also a huge difference at the BACK of the house! I am very skeptical about these kinds of things, but we can actually enjoy our front porch now!!!
